Education
  • 2021: Ph.D., California Institute of Technology
  • 2011: B.S., Seoul National University
Research Interests
  • Topological superconductivity: realization and detection of non-Abelian quasiparticles for quantum information applications.
  • Twisted/Rhombohedral multilayer graphene physics: investigation of superconductivity, fractional quantum anomalous Hall states, and other emergent correlated phases.
  • STM and quantum transport integration: correlating atomic-scale structure with macroscopic transport properties in clean-limit devices.

Major Research Archievement
  • Discovered a single material exhibiting both superconductivity and the quantum anomalous Hall effect
  • Observed unconventional superconductivity in twisted multilayer graphene
  • Identified strongly correlated phases in twisted multilayer graphene
